hi bloggers, I decided to choose a charatie and the charatie I picked was the salvation army. what they do is sell things that people donate and 83% of the companys profits go to program services like the YMCA. the rest of the money goes to programs that they hold like, fundraising, sausage sizzle, cake stands, etc. the best thing for me is that one salvation army is just down the road from my house.
hope you enjoyed my blog post

Kia ora Alan,
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hope you have been enjoying this holiday period and have had some happy moments with your whānau. I was lucky enough to get away with my son and spend some quality time with him and my immediate family. We spent a lot of time at the beach enjoying the beautiful sunshine. Have you been to the beach this summer?
I enjoyed reading your bonus activity blog post today! I see that you have chosen the Salvation Army, it looks like there's a bunch of new things you’ve learned about this charity. You have done a great job at writing an explanation about what they do. They do so much that it is hard to include it all into a blog post. This church community does so much for our nation by supporting families in need by providing food, clothing, and shelters. I personally love shopping at their op shops and I like to think it is another way that we can support the Salvation Army and their efforts.
Check out this article that I found sharing how the Salvation Army provided Christmas presents to hundreds of New Zealand children. How beautiful is that? Thank you for prompting me to look further into the Salvation Army. I enjoyed reading more about them.
Have a happy new year,
Megan :)
